Our Story
Built by Hand. Driven by Obsession.
Klein Millworks is a one-man operation rooted in a simple belief — that the best furniture comes from someone who can't stop thinking about wood.
From the Mill to Your Home
Bryan Klein doesn't just build furniture — he mills it. Every slab that leaves the shop started as a raw log, personally sourced, cut, and dried right here in Clearwater, Florida. That hands-on process, from tree to table, is rare in this industry — and it's at the core of everything Klein Millworks does.
What started as a passion project became a full workshop operation. Bryan has spent years developing an inventory of rare and locally sourced slabs — woods that most builders never even see. When you commission a piece from Klein Millworks, you're getting something that genuinely cannot be replicated.
Every piece is built to be overbuilt. Joinery built for decades of daily use. Finishes applied by hand. No shortcuts, no production lines — just one craftsman and an obsession with getting it right.
What We Stand For
The Klein Standard
Sourced Locally
Bryan personally sources every log and slab from the Tampa Bay area and surrounding regions, keeping the supply chain short and the provenance real.
Milled In-House
From raw log to finished slab — every step happens in the Klein Millworks shop. No outsourced milling, no mystery wood.
Built to Last
Furniture built with the joinery and finish quality to last generations. Overbuilt on purpose.
Truly One of a Kind
No two slabs are the same. Every piece Klein Millworks produces is unique — in grain, form, and character.
The Process
How a Piece Gets Made
Sourcing
Bryan scouts logs and slabs from local tree services, estates, and salvage operations across the Tampa Bay area.
Milling
Each log is cut to slab on the in-house mill — revealing the grain, figure, and character locked inside.
Drying
Slabs are air-dried and kiln-finished on site. Rushing this step ruins wood. Bryan doesn't rush.
Design
Every commission starts with a conversation. Bryan works with you to match the right slab to the right vision.
Build
Hand-cut joinery, hand-applied finish. The build takes as long as it takes to do it right.
Delivery
Bryan personally delivers and installs every piece — because the last step matters as much as the first.
