Monkey Puzzle (Araucaria araucana)

Sourced in St. Petersburg, Florida — an endangered species native to Chile
A massive 5-foot diameter cross-section coffee table milled from Monkey Puzzle — a rare, IUCN-listed Endangered conifer native to the Andes of Chile and Argentina, where individual trees can live beyond 1,000 years. Commercial logging of this species was banned in Chile in 1990, and it is listed under CITES Appendix I, making legally sourced lumber extraordinarily rare. This slab was sourced locally in St. Petersburg, Florida. The natural form, dramatic interlocking grain, and hand-finished surface make this a truly singular piece.

Locally sourced in the Harbor Bluffs area of Largo, Florida
Two perfectly bookmatched slabs of Pignut Hickory — one of the hardest and most shock-resistant domestic hardwoods in North America, registering 2,140 lbs on the Janka hardness scale. The mirror-image grain pattern running through the center of this table is a rare find, made possible by milling both slabs from the same log and joining them at the heart. Wild figure, natural live edges, and deep tonal variation from cream to warm amber. Paired with a custom-fabricated metal base built in-house. A true heirloom piece sourced right here in Pinellas County.
